THE DIANA.... I don't know how much information, technical wise, there are to be said about the Diana camera, but.. The Diana camera has in resent years reached a level of popularity, that is allmost absurd.. This is a plastic camera that breakes easily, and it just can't take a sharp picture...Some call it the worst camera ever built... But..what it does is to take very soft focused pictures - allmost sharp in the middle, but very unsharp at the corners... This creates a dreamlike picture, that gives an impression of the past - a feeling - a dream.. And NO other camera does this as convincing as the Diana!! The format is 120 film - square negatives in 4.5 x 4.5 cm aprox.... There are one fixed time (ca. 1/45 sec.) and "B", and it have three apertures (8 -11 - 16)..but most of the time you try to focus - expose, and then pray... You can go as close as to 1.2m, but I found out (by chance), that close-up lenses for Rolleiflex 2.8!! fit like a glove... amaizing...then you can go to about 60 cm with nr 1, and 30 cm with nr 2....but try it yourself.. Before taking pictures with this camera, you need to reasure your self, that it is lightproof...some ducktape may be handy... And the camera doesn't wind the film up very tight, so be carefull when you replace films.. This is a fun camera, that takes beautiful pictures, and one of the advantages of shooting with this is, that nobody seem to mind you taking pictures of them... and nobody cares to steel it..(unless - of course they know about it...) Due to the populatity of the camera, it is unfortunately getting quite rare...so if you come across one - buy it!! The name Diana is often used as a type camera - it comes with lots of names....up to 20 I have heard.. Finally: The Diana have a "big sister" : Diana deluxe... DON'T take this - it's far too good!! HAVE FUN..
